Thankful For This Transition

The Tour Guide Welcomes You 8 November 2023 Thankful For This Transition First week of November already passed. Our transition from All Saints Day, Halloween, Reformation, Dios De Los Muertos, etc to appreciating the change in weather, change in ports, change in academic and liturgical calendars. November is the month we tend to gloss over. It’s like a conjunction connecting the last part of the year. October And December. Halloween And Christmas. No November no Thanksgiving nearly. We could argue the origins of Thanksgiving and whether we should or should not celebrate due to the past. Despite the controversy of its beginning, it is wise to express thanks and gratitude. Like the month of November itself, so often we forget to express our thanks and gratitude on a daily basis. We’re all guilty of this. Let’s spend the next two weeks mindful of the changes, mindful of this transitional period, and open to a changed perspective. Not focusing on, “I have to,” but rather “I get to”
