Through The Command Comes Comfort

Scripture reference : Joshua 1:8-9 , Hebrews 13:5 , “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. 9  Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” The Holy Spirit indwells us. Logically, we know as believers that the Lord is always with us. Verse 9 confirms this and comforts us, “Be strong and of courage; do not be afraid…the Lord is your God.” But before all that comfort comes the Command part most of try to avoid. We don’t likes the commands . We don’t like the laws and we don’t like to be told what to do. Being required to meditate, read, study and keep the laws day and night - such a daunting task.
