Isolation and Mind Numbing scenery
In addition to details of assault many don't talk about: The assault happens in the brain. The assailant is now ingrained in person's mind as priority. The mind is overtaken at times by *triggers* that can create mental or physical sensations. The survivor can be quickly brought back to victim mode, even feeling things that should be desirable but not wanting them. So, offering a compliment may cause offense to some based on negative past encounters.
Imagine an over stretched rubber band. Some minds are burned and overstretched. Much time and patience is needed to repair everything

5 LEARN more about controlled substances (Coffee, Tea, Energy drinks, Soda, OTC, Prescribed meds, Cannabis, Liquor, Methamphetamines and other Substances: Purpose in your life? History of its purpose in general? Is it a tool or incentive or pure life sustaining dependency?
It'll be a process but one of the biggest contributing factors to many of our problems is simply low emotional state, lack of energy, or sense of worth or purpose. Small changes in diet and water intake, small adjustments to perspective and thought process, more exposure to beautiful and nurturing influences, every little bit helps. Community support, patience, grace, love, compassion, spiritual things, etc.
