-Listening to the Holy Spirit: Knowing God's Will (Pgs 71-73)
Before Holy Spirit God's voice thundered from the sky, burning bush, and used angels to deliever His message.
1 Kings 19:12-"Still small voice" Ways it's been documented in the Bible how God speaks to us. He uses dreams, other people, His word, omens (*Personal note not in book* highly advised to keep personal revelations from the Lord private.) God can use anything.
-Prayer Experiment: "How do we develop our sensitivity and pay more attention?" Reverend Paul F Everett tried rendition of Pittsburgh Experiment. Observed congressmen playing golf rather than attending church. Reverend Sam Shoemaker started spiritual meeting at Country Club asking men to pray daily God will reveal Himself for 30 days. The experiment was a success and they dedicated themselves to God forming the Pittsburgh Experiment in 1950s.
-How To "Feel The Spirit" (Be careful not to heavily and exclusively rely on feelings but rather also back up your findings with scripture)
-F ind prayer partner, let go of our expectations and open to answers, prayerfully read scriptures, pray til answer comes instead of doorbell ditch game with God, picture Jesus wwjd, develop contemplative soul, return to scripture expecte it to lead you.
Segment Two:Talking Points 3&4
-Prayer of Joy and Rejoicing (Pgs 74-76) 2 Samuel 6:5 David and House of Israel dancing before the Lord. Luke 24:52 -53. Apostles Paul and Silas worshiped while in prison sang in praise God Acts 16:25.
-Singing, praise rallies, holding up of hands, exclaiming, praying in joy, speaking private prayers out loud offers more energy experience more joy of God, crying our pain in prayers so we can be healed.

Segment Three: Mindfulness and Meditation (Pgs 80-84) Mindfulness Meditation or Centering/Contemplative deep form of prayer and fellowship wtih God

Meditation: "Christian meditation is more active in the sense of making use of imagination memory reflection and multiplying acts of the will," says the Reverend Thomas Keating. " It moves from one reflection to another with a view of starting up the will to encourage acts of prayer such as praise adoration and Thanksgiving. It is a more active and more directed more expected form of Prayer."
Contemplative prayer: intentional quiet state where we are aware God is with us. "The Purpose is simply to be still and be with God."
-"Father Kempis writes that 'the man who practices contemplative prayer quickly recollects himself because he has never wasted his attention on external distractions no outside work no business that cannot wait stands in his way he adjusts himself to the things as they happen. '"
