Over the years I've head many a tale of the men and their let downs with women. It's frustrating as a person who identifies as female to attempt to empathize, when you too, have had your fair share of let downs with men.
We joke and laugh at man's "MiD liFe CrIsIs" and sudden decrease in testosterone. Women have a lot of support and social groups, surrounding the sensitive subject of menopause. Do men have them for andropause? Ladies joke about ED and other related concerns in that region. Is that why so many males are so quick to jump to sex workers?
There's a lot more secrets, and what nots for a later date, but for now, despite how disrespectful women perceive men to be, please note, there's usually good reason for it. (And as always, there is no excuse, simply a better understanding to further our relations with one another.)
Many will argue, "Why bring up these topics?" "Not your area of concern," etc. Being female, I could no longer sit around trying to figure out why men have come to despise females. Even reading letters from the pseudonym Silence Dogwood No. 5, 28 May 1722 (later revealed to be Benjamin Franklin) talking about such heated topics surrounding the genders. The battle of the sexes, nothing new, really. Some of the discussions talk on a woman's education or lack of. Is there any point in attempting to get along in this modern era seeing that there's a been a battle since Adam and Eve and no one wanting to take full responsibility? These letters do great at examining who's at fault, or to blame, or biggest burden. The tone and perspective from the male author expresses clearly his feelings about women.
Can we be blamed for the testosterone and increase of sexual interest? Are we responsible for the other brain men carry around? ED is reversible in many with change in diet. Prostate cancer reduced with use of selenium. Men have a longer life expectancy when they are married. Yet, there are still many who believe women are exclusively there to serve men, not equal to men, are equivalent to children or livestock, or better left ignorant or in the dark.
No one wants to get their feelings hurt, especially men. Better to get them down before they get in your head and bring you down. It's easier to say, they're not that special and dismiss them. Insecurities from both parties. The end results are not looking too good.
