The Lady Killers Movie Review
Intro: Hello and hope you're doing well whenever you're seeing this, hearing this, or reading this. I'm on Anchor FM, Blog Spot, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and Facebook
Major Talking Points 1 Overview of the Coen Brothers, their films, and the star studded cast of The Lady Killers. 2 Character Profile of Six of the major actors. 3 Overall Review of film.
Segment 1: Coen Brothers Films aside from The Lady Killers, Fargo, Burn After Reading, The Big Liboswski, O Brother Where Art Thou, and No Country For Old Men. Most of their themes include faulty human nature, materialism, obsession with money, violence, and dark humor. Reoccurring theme of death and the vanity of chasing things of this world. Burn After Reading and Fargo are good examples of these trends.
Segment 2 : First Three Character Profiles
Tom Hanks: (The Professor) Highly Educated PhD Professor wanting to rent a room in an older woman's home only to really be after the area of her basement which affords him the opportunity to tunnel a way to access a large amount of money. He is the mastermind behind the plan and has recruited other members to assist him. His character is what of our current culture calls high class elite pulling the strings and conjuring up plans under the surface or below the radar of unsuspecting victims. Hidden in plain site. Well spoken, well dressed, educated, but with an ulterior motive.
Irma P. Hall (Marva Munson. Older Humble Christian Lady) Also in the Film Collateral. Ignorant and simple church lady who simply wants to serve the Lord and donate money to a Bible College. Despite her ignorance, her character and nature is protected and the enemy is defeated even without her knowledge or needing to do anything. More Christians please take note (myself included). Yes, there was damage caused and not all of our endings will be happy, many Christians will die due to persecution, but we know our reunion will be with Christ and we need not fear any man.
JK Simmons: (Mr. Pancake) Also in Burn After Reading, Juno (A Pro-Life Movie). His character is at times overly empathetic, highly informative, and enabling of destructive traits. He hopes to gain money for himself and his life partner which seems like an innocent endeavor despite stealing and lying.
The average white liberal who has fed into the extremism of the Left's agenda aggressively pushing agendas on our youth and excusing or enabling bad behavior. Ex. "White guilt." It's not just the Left but any political extremist who is willing to cheat and steal to acquire their American Dream, enabling destructive groups of people, resulting in the destruction of this country.
Segment 3 Second Three Character Profiles:
Marlon Wayans (Gawain) His position is working internally in the place they're attempting to rob. He throughout film is obstinate, confrontational, talks back, gets fired, and discovered he has past trauma from his childhood due to a verbally abusive aggressive mother.
The #BLM has in many ways been proven to be a scam. Many protests destroyed communities from staged riots that started as peaceful in an attempt to bring awareness to issues plaguing communities of color. Sad reality that the founders of #BLM ended up being people of color stealing from people of color. The character Gawain exhibited nothing faith based or a moral compass such as the sheriff and the older church lady, which are both people of color.
Ryan Hurst: (Lump) The muscle in this movie to move things forward. The physical labor, foot soldier and infiltration. Whether a physical tunnel to dig, or online hacking, workplace infiltration extremist groups, anarchist, antifa, socialist, or communist, etc. are ushering in the way for the elites continue to keep us distracted with the divide and conquer tactic. In contrast to Ryan Hurt's role in this film, he also played in Remember the Titans. His role in The Lady Killers has limited speaking roles but his character from Remember the Titans speaks more. We really should remember them.
Tzi Ma: (Chinese Shop Keeper "We want that donut money" ) Also, much like the character Lump, very limited dialogue but extreme contrast in tactics and purpose for this film and in real life.
Please note China owns America's largest pork plant, Tik Tok which has been proven to cause depression and enable mental illness in our youth, Please reference Hero and my brief review on it. Would it be possible to create full unity? Makes me often consider the book or movie "The Giver" wondering it it would be possible to create safe places for communities to thrive while still remembering our past in order to learn from our past mistakes.
Segment 4: Final Thoughts on The Lady Killers: A unique film that touches on varying themes, great soundtrack, love the tone, humor and their approach to difficult talking points.
