(Perspective) Biblical: "Bruh! You Just Can't Win"

Matthew 11:18-19 . 1 Corinthians 11:1-16 . Colossians 2:16-23
"For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, 'He has demon.' The Son of Man came eating and drinking and they say, 'Look, a glutton and a winebibber, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!' But wisdom is justified by her children (works)." - Matthew 11:18-19NKJV
You just can't win with some people. John lived an alternative life. He lived on the outskirts of society, had an odd diet, wore strange clothes then he was accused of having a demon. But what did he actually do? He foretold the coming of Christ and baptized people. Jesus opted for drinking wine and spending some of His time with tax collectors, sinners, and prostitutes. So now, Jesus is labled as a drunkard with shady friends, ignoring the messages He shared and miracles He performed.
Now granted, John was an exceptional man even Jesus stating there was no man greater than him. Jesus, of course, Son of God and perfect. We though, as simple humans, will encounter people who do and say all the right things but they're not truly in the body of Christ. Or we may encounter those who hang out with the rough crowd and are actually the most devout followers of Christ. Then you have those in the middle who you cannot determine where they stand. They change their message, actions, hanging out with all crowds. Outside observers trying to figure them out.

You personally, do your best to serve God but, you're critqued for following this practice or not. You're looked down on for eating this and not eating that. Women wearing a head covering or not (1 Corinthans 11:1-16)?
Unless we're dealing with The Cousins, John and Jesus, we, the average folk will need to consider
Colossians 2:6-23 "So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths...Therefore, if you died with Christ from the basic principles of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to regulations—“Do not touch, do not taste, do not handle,” which all concern things which perish with the using—according to the commandments and doctrines of men? These things indeed have an appearance of wisdom in self-imposed religion, false humility, and neglect of the body, but are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh.

Matthew 11:19 ends with the statement "But wisdom is justified by her children (works)." Take note of the fruit produced, remembering only Christ truly knows the heart.

(Perspective) Biblical: Freedom In The House Of Mourning

Countless times I've expressed the expansive variety of options we're gifted here on Earth. Why do we limit ourselves to options ABCD, though? We're told we have free will. We're told we can do what we want with our bodies and choose when to have kids  But what does it really look like to have free will? I'll tell you now. Not caring about the options at all. Seeing everything as a gift. Realizing this world was designed to be enjoyed and lived in to the fullest extent possible. Again, why limit ourselves to simple options? Pick whatever car you want (as long as it's the color options they've presented you with.) Eat whatever type of french fry, icecream, or food that is available on the menu list at your favorite restaurant. We have personal preferences and there's nothing wrong with having options and opinions. The question poised here is simple: Are you really free, or just given options?  I was blessed to hear a wonderful sermon that presented this w...
